Adnan from Blogtrepreneur has a nice guest post up on his site today that talks about 10 ways to get traffic to a new website, but I think that the ways listed are great for a new or established site, no matter how old your website is (or business) you are always looking for new ways to get people to notice you.

I have been fighting a loosing battle with a cold (I hate being sick) the last couple days so my ability to think and write another post for jump starting your home based business has gone down a little. Because of that, I felt that the article on 10 ways to get traffic to your website would be a good substitute. Again, no matter how old your website is, these are things that you can do in hope of increasing your exposure.

    Here are the tips:

    1. Write quality content to draw inbound links.
    2. Start a blog.
    3. Run a contest or a giveaway.
    4. Write a press release.
    5. Social media websites.
    6. Write for other blogs.
    7. Join or start a blog community.
    8. Pay-per-click advertising.
    9. Paid website reviews.
    10. Comment in forums and on other blogs.

To check out the full details with each idea, head over to Adnan’s site and read the full post.

Good post! I plan to move into this stuff after I’m done with school, as most of it is time consuming. It’s a great post to reference back to. My blog needs more time to gain in popularity anyway.
