I’m not sure why I hadn’t thought about this earlier, but it is very easy to make money online with the Google Search portion of your Google AdSense account. Just about every blog and most websites have some sort of internal search for their site. This feature easily allows users to search for different terms, pages, or points of interest.

Well, most people just use a basic search system that may have been provided to them or that was already developed (a plugin, a pre-made script, whatever it may be) and are done with it.

But, if you configure your site’s search feature to utilize the Google Search bar code from your Google Adsense account, it is a great way to make some extra income. Utilizing the tool, you get paid for any search that happens through the search bar. As an example, I have a Google Search on one of my websites and although it does not get a lot of searches, within the last month or so, it had 16 searches done using it. This brought in a whopping $2.00. Now, that is $2 more than I would have had if I did not utilize the search feature.

Short story is if your site receives a lot of internal or external searches, get ahold of yourself and use the search feature from Google Adsense to help your make some more money online from your website! If your bringing in tens or hundreds of searches everyday, this amount will quickly add up!

Anyone already doing this and having success from it? I have seen a bunch of different popular bloggers using this method for their site’s search and will be implementing it in the future!

It took me a few months more than I wanted to, but without pushing/optimizing my sites too much for Google AdSense, I did just get a nice deposit into my account for my account balance.

The last couple weeks seemed to have brought in a decent amount of daily income, over $2.00 a day, more than I have been averaging. I contribute this to some more exposure on TheRavenSymone site, some new units added to Dorm Room Biz, as well as some different units placed on a new site that will be launching within a week that pays out some nice returns.

With the launch of the new site, and as it grows, I am hoping that the AdSense deposits will start coming more often!

On a side note, the months of January and February have both been good earning months for my online activities; most of which has come from Dorm Room Biz. I have had a number of sponsored posts and ReviewMe reviews that have brought in some nice extra little change.

I’ll also be posting about a new program I started using the other day to get some extra income in my spare time!

OK so a few days ago I decided it was time to redesign and relaunch TheRavenSymone.com. After a couple days of deciding on a design and putting it all together, it is ready to be relaunched. The site design is similar to the previous one however, the colors are a completely different story, from a dark gray and black to a lighter pink and peach color. Anyway, take a look at the site and feel free to leave any comments you may have. Google AdSense might not have fully propagated and scanned all the material yet, so do not be surprised if you see some odd ads being displayed.

And for anyone interested, in the past few months, the site has produced about $10 a month in AdSense revenues. Not the best, but for not having been touched for over 8 months, I’ll take that.

Earnings from September stayed about the same since the last time that I did this type of report. This months revenue came in from the following sources: ReviewMe, SponsoredReviews, Google AdSense, and some other miscellaneous areas.

So here it is:

Google AdSense: $5.52
ReviewMe: $5.oo
SponsoredReviews: $12.00
Other Misc: $30.00

TOTAL: $52.52

Not too bad for a little bit of pocket change I suppose. I really want to get this over and up above the $100 mark a month. If I can start to reach about $30 a month with AdSense that would help me along to that path.

Here is a little bit of a breakdown of how each revenue stream was reached.

Google AdSense
This is a combined number for all of my sites (currently at 5) that run AdSense ads. This fluctuates a lot from month to month and day to day. I went a week or so without seeing any clicks and money and then just 2 days ago I started getting a ton of clicks and the pennies were coming in. The big winner for my AdSense is my information fan website for Raven Symone, TheRavenSymone.com. I started this site specifically for AdSense and it has performed pretty well. Over the summer months, it did a lot better than it has the past 2 months. Since launching TheRavenSymone site in January 2007, I have brought in over $70 from it. I have been working on a couple other websites similar to TheRavenSymone which should be launching soon and will help to bring my AdSense revenue’s up.

ReviewMe/SponsoredReviews
The money from these two sites were from campaign reviews or ones that I applied for. If I had more time, school is holding me back, then I would have been able to complete more of these reviews and at least doubled the income from these sites. With bringing Bobby on board with Dorm Room Biz, I hope that we will be able to accomplish that between the two of us now.

Miscellaneous Revenue
Through my website development business, I have been able to keep in touch with a lot of clients and preform small odd jobs for them, so that is where this money came from. When I set up the deal, I decided that I would put it towards Dorm Room Biz and use it to expand the site (towards a new logo? towards a new design? towards hosting/domain?). Basically, someone came to me asking to fix an eBay template that he had created and host it so that he could launch the auction (having all the images work correctly that were embedded within the actual auction design). So for $30, I agreed to fix it up for him and host it.

Whats Next For Dorm Room Biz?
Help us decide! Please let me know what you guys would like to see happen here, what kind of articles you would like to read or things you want to hear about! As far as revenue streams, expect to see offers from DealDotCom and some other sites as well.

How did you all do this past month?

I haven’t done this before, but thought that I woudl throw the information out there anyway…even though it is not much.

No, no, no, I didn’t make anywhere near John Chow or other similar bloggers, however, I did make more money then previous months so I just wanted to point it out and where it came from.

For July I earned about $55.26. Not too bad I guess for not really doing a whole lot to monetize the blog, although that will be changing over the next few weeks

ReviewMe – $35.00
PayPal- $10.00
Google AdSense- $10.26
Total: $55.26

The ReviewMe payments can in two waves. The first payment was for the campaign reviews I did on the site, which were $5.00 each. These are a lower payout price then your normal blog review price because they are not directed to any certain blog specifically. They are campaigns where you can pick and choose which reviews you would like to do. This got me $10.00. The second payment from ReivewMe was for the affiliates side of the house. I had 107 people click on my affiliate links to ReivewMe but only one of those signed up. That one person got me $25.00 though, so I am happy with that. If all 107 of them signed up that could have meant $2,500+…I think I would have crapped my pants if that happened. So, sign up this time when you click on my ReviewMe links!

The $10.00 from PayPal was for filling out a PayPal survey. This was a survey they asked me to participate in and in return I would get $10 in my account, free money! So for about 5 minutes of my time, it was pretty painless.

And of course we all know how the $10.26 from AdSense works. I didn’t get a check or anything for it, but I am getting closer to reaching the next $100 magic mark.

Hopefully this will continue to rise in the coming months!

On another note, I also brought in good amounts from my eBay business and my web development business. Web development work this summer totaled around $3,500 (total, yet I had expenses like hiring other designers, programmers, and buying scripts). eBay, however, where most of the money was profit, brought in about another $2,000. If I had to guess, since I am not looking at any numbers in front of me, I probably sold about $1,000 worth of camping equipment (based on retail prices) as well as other items.

The concept is reasonably simple. Do some research, find some very tight niches that aren’t well serviced at the moment, build a content website targeting the niche, stick some AdSense, Chitika and similar advertising programs up and just let it sit there earning a few dollars a day.
