This great theme comes from our friends over at WooThemes. Over the next couple weeks I’ll work on make some modifications to it.

Now, here are a couple quick updates with more to follow on them shortly.

First and most importantly, Courtney and I have moved. We moved into our first townhouse together and things have been nuts for the last week unpacking, hanging pictures, setting stuff up, etc. A full video tour, pictures and more to come soon. This has taken a large chunk of my time and has not let me do as much blogging as I would have liked.

This is my busy week at work – with the position I am currently in at work, this week (the first full week of the month) is the most busy as we work to close out the previous month and prepare a lot of different financial reports. Since I usually do most of my blog post writting while at my cubicle job, I haven’t had the time to do so. This will all change again next week when things slow down a little.

eBay sales have gone crazy! I had someone contact me through my HowardCountyeBay.com website about selling a lot of paintball and similar military gear for them on eBay. Over the last week we’ve sold about $500 worth of items with much more to still go, inclduing multiple paintball and airsoft guns. Taking pictures, writing descriptions and doing everything else related to auctions is time consuming. I hope to move most of the inventory within the next couple weeks. I guess that all told it should bring in over $1000 for the owner. If that sounds sweet to you, contact me and find out how you can clean out your closets and basements to make money!

And that’s about it. I’ve been getting up early, around 5:30 AM, to get ready and head to work since we moved further out west away from my job so it’s about that time to go to bed! Leave a comment and follow me on twitter to keep up and chat!

Now, lets do a very quick run down of income for the month of March.

Private Ad Sales: $40.00

Reviews and Text Links: $44.76

Affiliates: $10.00

AdSense: $9.26

TOTAL: $104.02

This past month was slightly lower for two reasons: one of our advertisers paid for two full months at once so that was accounted for in the February round up and then I also had one advertiser not renew a couple text link ads. However, I still cracked the $100 mark again, so I am happy about that!

Now, a special thanks to our current advertisers.

Sporting an image advertisement, Greener Billing is a great service you need to check out. With free accounts and more features than other online billing websites, Greener Billing is a great way to save paper, save the environment from wasting resources, and also still get a bill to your clients. I’ve started using the service and will have a review of it out soon! With text link ads, again this month, we have Cheap Auto Insurance Quotes and Student Credit Cards. Also with a top spot in the header area is the Thousand Dollar Profits program!

The new theme for the site is about 95% of the way complete. I’m tweaking a couple images and getting everything finished up. I have the issue that many entrepreneurs have – I want it to be perfect before launching it. So, I’m going to be taking my own advance and launch it already, and then tweak it more as we go along.

Other Crazy Things Happening

I’m still in Florida! I know, its been like a month already! I’ll be back in Maryland on April 11th for “good”. May 1st my Fiance and I will be moving into a townhouse, so those couple weeks after I get back are going to be busy packing and trying to get everything ready for that. Once the office is set back up in the new place, I’ll be sure to share some pictures and a quick tour of the place! We’re both really excited about it, so it’s going to be fun. Tomorrow, we [my finance is flying down tonight] are heading to Universal Studies in Orlando since I have the day off work, so I should have some neat pictures and videos from that next week. Also, as a side note, I’ve started adding more pictures to my Flickr account, so you can always check that out to see what I’ve been up to.

Now, its on to 200 subscribers!! Sunday or Monday I will be launching the next contest for Dorm Room Biz, so keep an eye out for that and a chance to win a couple cool prizes and celebrate the accomplishment.

Anyway, with the month finished, its about that time that I sometimes put together a earnings post for the month and all around update on the status of the site. So, lets get started.

Some notes on the earnings and other items…
On top of the $14.73 that I “earned” from AdSense for the month, I actually got my latest Adsense payment of over $100. Since I don’t make enough through AdSense to get a monthly deposit (more than $100), it is nice every couple months when it does come through.

I have sold a few private ads on the site over the past few months and there has also been a lot of interest in purchasing advertising on the site. If you are interested, check out the rates on the Advertise page and then get in contact with me to discuss. All the ad formats are available (text link, image ad, and sponsored posts).

I am happy that I hit the $100 mark again for the month, that is good news. I hope that this month we will be able to get over that and get closer to $150. With two new bloggers on board to help write for the site, I think we will be able to pump out some great content that will hopefully attract some more monthly advertisers and sponsors. Page views and visitors have taken about a 40% increase in September from August and just about doubled from July. I know they are not impressive numbers (1200 visits and 1600 page views) but they are continuing to go up daily and look forward to what October brings.

With college classes back in full force for everyone, I will hopefully be able to put out some useful content for student entrepreneurs – if you have ideas for posts, please let me know and we will write about them! Also, if you have questions you’d like for us to try to answer, email me and we will either email you back or post about it on the site!

Obviously the most popular post from the month was the contest post. As I already reviewed after the contest finished, there were over 300 combined entries and over 80 comments. Some of the other popular posts for the month included:

We also got out 14 posts for the month, which equates to almost one every other day. October is going to be better – I swear! Keep a look out!

I think that is about all the updates that I have for now. October is a busy month for me (as far as the weekends go) but I should be able to get a lot of posts written while at work…like I am now.

• UPDATE: I guess I should have also added that I updated to WordPress 2.6 and have been slowly upgrading all my other websites to it as well.

In other news, I also updated my personal webiste the other night, www.chrispund.com. It was just a redirect to a blog that never really got updated, so I wanted to use it as a landing page for my network of websites. Now it has links to my active sites, so check it out.
