Wow, I am waaaaay freaking behind in getting this posted. I recorded this video probably at least 3 weeks ago. I’m sorry for he major delay.

This is a video book review of Gary Vaynerchuk’s book Crush It! If you haven’t checked it out, then you should definitely go buy it right now for Amazon either for yourself or as a Christmas present for someone else who could use it! (affiliate link, don’t hate me for it)

Video Tour of Our New Place

So now that we’ve been settled in for a couple weeks and everything is mostly unpacked, I wanted to do a quick video tour of the townhouse that Courtney and I moved in to. So here it is! Now that this is out of the way, hopefully we’ll get back to some normal posting!

Do Epic Shit – Plain and Simple

Thursday night I went to a social media presentation in Downtown Orlando that was put on by Doterati. Doterati is an Orlando area based group of social media interested people. You can read more about the organization and see their upcoming events on their website www.doterati.com. They have a tweetup coming up [tonight] night which I am going to try to make it to.

Anyway, the presentation was about utilizing social media and a little bit on the side of social media consulting. One of the slides was titled “Do Epic Shit” and the idea was that you should be making big moves to get your self noticed on Twitter, the blogosphere, Facebook or wherever else.

I liked the idea of “Do Epic Shit” because it does not just apply to your social media and networking presence but to business in general. So I thought I’d make a quick video about it. I recorded this Thursday night after getting back to my hotel.

I’d love to hear your comments about doing epic shit and hustling to get your business out there and noticed!

Hello from Florida!

I’ve been down here in Florida for a couple days now and the weather has been great! Nothing to complain about compared to the 50 degrees I left back home in Maryland.

The trip down was pretty uneventful, my flight ran a few minutes behind in taking off but we landed right on time. The rental car company was incredibly slow in getting 30 people through a line. They only had 3 people checking renters in and it took more than 45 minutes, talk about a time killer!

Anyway, I wanted to give a quick little tour of the hotel suite that the company put me up in and reach out to you all if you are interested in meeting up, to please leave a comment and we will set it up! Like I mentioned before, I’m just outside of Orlando in the Apopka/Maitland area.

Start a business in the down economy

Now is the time to start a business in this down economy. Some people may say that it is not a good idea, but everyone else will tell you that it is.
