Health Analytics Website Officially Launched!
Written by Chris on December 28, 2006 – 9:01 am -If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I have been working for the past few months on the new website for Health Analytics and it has finally been launched. I started this project back in August and it was supposed to be quick and finished within a month and a half. Well, as many of you know, it is a pain to try and get content from a client and this ultimately held the project back and kept it going a lot longer. If I knew it was going to take this long I would have charged much more! I will be posting an article about getting content from your client either later today or tomorrow with some helpful tips on how to make the process much easier.
Anyway, the website came out really good and the client is extremely pleased with it. We are meeting tomorrow to talk about any final changes and settle up on the rest of the cost. I would love to hear your comments on the site design and what you think about it. Also, please let me know if you find any errors. The site is at: http://www.healthanalytic.com/
Speaking of website design, in case you or someone you know is in need of a new website or graphics work, feel free to contact me. My business, ProfessionalGFX, is always looking for new clients to fill our plate with. I have a very talented team of designers and developers that I work with to put together projects and we would love to take care of your needs. Feel free to contact me at http://www.professionalgfx.net.

New Website Design Client
Written by Chris on November 29, 2006 – 12:22 pm -Over my Thanksgiving Break from school last week, I picked up a new website design client. The project should be pretty easy to put together. It is going to be created for a workout gear clothing line which is apart of a screen printing company, BCW Prints, whose website I am working on finishing up currently. Hopefully it will starting in the next week once their catalog gets designed and I get a copy of all the images and it should be finished up by the end of the year.
Know someone who needs any web development or graphic design work done? Shoot me an email - chris [at] chrispund.com

Registration Papers Filed!
Written by Chris on October 19, 2006 – 8:37 pm -Good news everyone! I finally took the leap in registering Radford Auctions as an official company, a general partnership, and will hopefully be receiving notification in a couple weeks letting us know that everything is complete and we are a fully registered company. I have already filled out the Tax ID Number form at the IRS website, which instantly gives you your Tax ID Number. Once we get our registration completed, we will be able to set our business bank account up and really get Radford Auctions rocking and rolling.
On a side note, I recently wrote an entry about free press and how Radford Auctions was featured in a front page article in my school newspaper, The Tartan. I just wanted to share that good results are coming from that article as well. I have been receiving about 2-3 emails per week in reference to our eBay listing services.

Free Press is Good Press!
Written by Chris on September 21, 2006 – 7:56 pm -I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on what is going on and appologize for the lack of posting!
School work has been kicking my butt recently and then on top of that the different organizations that I am involved in have been taking up a lot of time. So once I do get home from campus, I am doing work until 2 AM and don’t have much time to post on here. But hopefully that will change soon.
Anyway, a couple weeks ago I had an interview with the school newspaper for an article on Radford Auctions, my eBay start-up business. Well, it was finally published on Wednesday
You can read the article here.
The publishing of the article got delayed because the editor had a few extra questions but overall, it turned out pretty good. There was one minor mistake made, he mentioned that my partner, Zach, and I are roommates. But, in fact, we are not, we just run the business out of our respective apartments.
Now, normally most people would probably demand a reprint or something along those lines for a mistake in a newspaper, but when you are just starting out your business, you can not complain about free press. This article will hopefully lead to another one in my partner’s school newspaper which goes out to many more students then the one here at Radford does. The great thing about free press, is that, well, its FREE. The article appeared front page and then also continued on the inside, and I was very impressed by this. I figured it would have shown up at the very back of the paper or hidden somewhere else.
So, my lesson for all of you to learn today is to accept any free press you get (whether it is good or possibly bad, its still press) and do not stress over little minor mistakes such as this one if it really is just minor. However, if there was a bigger mistake in the article, I would be complaining
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well and thank you all for your continued support. I continue to receive emails on a daily basis saying how you all enjoy reading Dorm Room Biz (when something new is added) and I appreciate the feedback, because that is ultimately what keeps me going and blogging (when I do have the time).
I am looking at the idea of recording a couple podcasts in the future as opposed to be writting different posts on topics just to get my ideas and comments out there quicker and in a better manor, so be on the look out for this. I will also be looking for people who may be interested in speaking in the podcasts and even being interviewed about your companies, so if you would like some free exposure, then feel free to drop me an email.
Have a great weekend everyone! I know I will. I will be in West Virginia at the Gauley Fest, so I will see you all on Monday!

Theres not enough time!
Written by Chris on September 7, 2006 – 1:48 pm -Theres just not enough time in the day to accomplish everything I want to. I must need to sleep less or something to be able to fit everything in! I appologize for not being able to blog much lately. I had a marketing exam this week and then have a political science exam on Tuesday, so I have been trying to catch up on all my reading and getting my other work done.
In ProfessionalGFX related news, I have finally been able to sit down and work on a website design for a client who is extremely pleased with it. A small preview is below but you can also click it to check out what it will really look like.
Anyway, I will try and post as much as I can!!! For any bloggers out there that want to get their name out there and guest blog on another blog, feel free to email me at chris[at]chrispund.com.
