Review of LogoInn.com Logo Design Service

First off, if you have not visited the homepage recently because you subscribe to site updates through an RSS reader, I invite you to come by the site and check it out. You’ll notice a brand new design for the site as well as a new logo. If you have been to the site, what do you think?

Part of redesigning this website was also to get a new logo created. Right about the time I was thinking about working on a theme for Dorm Room Biz, I got an email from someone within the LogoInn.com logo design service. They were offering a free logo design, so I knew I could not pass this opportunity up. This takes us all the way back to March. About 2 months is a very long development time, but most of the delays were on my side of the action and not on the designers side.

So, how was the process you’re wondering? It was good and pretty normal; basically as I suspected it to be. I’ve worked with many web and graphic designers over the years and pretty much new what to expect. I was emailed a small logo design questionairre which had different questions such as the style of logo I like, what colors I wanted the logo to have, etc. So after going back and forth for a few emails, we finaly got the details laid out and were ready to hit the ground running.

The logos that I was first shown were along the lines of what I asked for in realtion to the questionaire that I filled out as well as some different examples I sent to the person I was working with. The nice thing about this process was that they were more than happy to make as many revisions as I needed. Now, I don’t know if that is part of their normal service or not, but it worked great for me. I’m the type of person, like many of you probably are, that likes to have a TON of revisions done to designs to try to make them just right. However, there is a point where you have to realize you will never be able to achieve a perfect logo because you’d never be happy with what you had if you went for perfection. So, I’m very happy with the current logo that the site has, I think it goes very well with the theme and colors and look forward to utilizing it for a while to come.

I’d rate my experience with the guys at LogoInn.com pretty well and would consider going back for future logo work. I know there are a ton of options out there when you are looking for a logo design like running a contest, hiring a firm, or checking out a logo desing company like LogoInn.com. Using this type of internet based service may not be for you, but for this type of project, it was the perfect fit!

Check them out if you are in the market for a new logo design!

Great job with the new site Chris! I think there are still some minor changes to make, but it’s coming along nicely.

LogoInn has done a terrible job for my company. Their logo designs were not creative and it was clear that they didn’t even understand our company name. We ended up creating our own logo design and sent it to them to get it cleaned up and put into the appropriate file formats. Next we started on web site design. Still lazy and sloppy design. Stationery design consisted of pasting our logo onto the top of an 8 1/2 x 11 document and calling it letterhead. Emails to their support group were ignored unless I copied an individual II happened to reach by phone. They apparently have no source control or quality control because I have regularly received old designs with new deliverables. I would never use these guys again. Ever.

After 3 weeks of back and forth emails, numerous lengthy phone calls and endless frustrations, I’ve finally decided to cut my losses and finish the website myself. LogoInn, based in India I suspect (although they won’t admit it) don’t deserve to call themselves a web design company; they are a ” cut and paste into a template” company, offering poor customer service (2 day turn around for a very basic revisions???), and even poorer quality and value-add. They don’t even understand or follow very basic design requests, like positioning of graphics. My advice, pay a little more and get the job done by real DESIGNERS who can express the creative and business acumen you seek. I wish I did that to start off with instead of losing 3 weeks worth of potential business as my site was being “designed”. LogoInn should stick to logos and become a great logo company instead of the below par web designers they currently are.

I know some of my teammates can lose motivation when projects run twice as long as they should have been.

Terrible company, no creativity and I had to design my own and send it to them so they can finish it, and after I agree with the logo they sent the wrong one!!!, so I thought “well just a misunderstanding” so they reply with an attachment of the right logo for confirmation, I confirmed….and they sent the wrong one again!!!, how hard it is??, so all this time I was dealing with Ron Coper and ask to speak with a manager after numerous attempts to get things right, and find out that he is the manager!!!!, how can someone like him be a manager?!?!? and they keep saying “i will send it tomorrow”, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, dont waste your money

I don’t agree to the above comments, I think you are all competitors and not Logoinn’s clients. As far as my experience with Logoinn is concerned, it was amazing!!! I must say they have a battalion of highly creative logo designers fully equipped with great graphic design sense and an ability to come up with extraordinary concepts for anyone. All I can say is that the quality of their design work is outstanding by any standard. Their support is simply awesome and they really treat their customers well. I am 100% satisfied with Logoinn’s performance.

    Logo Quality: 10/10
    Creativity: 10/10
    Support: 10/10
    Price: 10/10
    Satisfaction: 100%

I dont agree with you kane and I think that you are prob from logoinn.
I have waited 8 weeks yes thats 8 weeks for a 2 page on line shop. Thats correct I did say 2 pages. It was going to be 6 but I am that appauled by the length of time that they have taken that I have decided to cut my losses otherwise my site would never be finished. Communication with the company marks 4 out of 10. The only time they will speak to you is if they think that you are happy otherwise theyjust ignore you. This is the MOST UNPROFFESIONAL company that I have ever had to deal with and wish I would of came across this blog before using them.

My site has been finished for 3 days and all of the links are broken , I cant update any of my products for customers to see so in effect I do not have a shop front right now! I reported this to logoinn on tuesday @ 9am and there reply was
    Dear Customer
We have recieved your revision requsets and we shall have them ready for you by thursday.
    Regards

    Logoinn
Revision requsets? That just goes to show what type of compant they are PLEASE take my advice people and stay well away from these people

I cannot get logoinn to attend to my website requests for the advertised 24 hour turn around. Any change takes 6 days.
Spelling mistakes and basic punctuation corrections take forever. I am wondering if the people working on the site actually know how to read or write English. There are way too many mistakes!

I am unhappy with the service…great claims of what they can do, follow up to sell you more services but don’t attend to complaints.

I am sick of these people already and it has been on a month…but 2 months of preparing the website..when I was told it would be 2-3 weeks more like 8

My advice check out another service.

I have to agree with the reviews of LogoInn. They’re absolutely terrible. On several occassions, they stated that some of the “extra things” I wanted cost up to $500 extra, until I forwarded them their own email which claimed that it was included. I was promised results “within two business” days and results were rarely delivered within a week. Directions were often ignored. Emails in which I stated my directions were “not received”. Customer service often didn’t answer the phone.

I would ask for simple additions to the site (ie expand the header) and was told that it cost extra money. It’s been four months now, and my site is nowhere near ready to go.

This company is clearly a scam.

  15. Micheal May 16, 2012 at 1:52 pm #

    Used company once.

    Absolutely rubbish.

Any sane minded business individuals on a tight budget please use a REAL designer. Anyone who can create three logos in such a short time space clearly is absolutely rubbish.

Please do not use them it will waste your own precious business time.

Honestly guys.. what do you guys expect? you pay such cheap price and you expect quality?

would you run a design company if its not out of india and charge $45 for a logo designer AFTER fixed costs and advertising / processing over heads?

be realistic guys! even their more expensive $68 package you can’t expect quality. would any GOOD QUALITY INDIAN designer even work for that? (don’t forget there’s google advertising at least $30 gone, credit card processing, 5%, the person you talk to when you call… after all that. the designer may be gets $10? amercian’s out of question, can you get a goood quality indian to work for that rate with unlimited revision?

you pay for what you get!

DO NOT use theses people our website has been in production now for over 7 months. They cannot read or write nor take simple instruction. We have sent everything needed but they still ask us to resend files which they already have. Ron copper is a compulsive liar considering he is the manager. They are lazy and there is no customer service what’s so ever. You have to practically sit on the phone with them and make them change things on your site for it to be done. I have spoken to eddie, jason, david… You name it ive spoken to them alllll, I’m told they are based in London but I don’t know how true that is. I would have thought they were based in India but again I’m not sure. I know websites are expensive but just close your eyes and pay that Little more for it. This company is a SCAM!!!!!

    Hello everyone

I have just ordered a logo design with this company and found this page. Most of the comments are very negative and you are saying that you would never use this company again. I asked two companies for sending me their ideas and designs but after reading the above messages, I am not convinced that I would get anything much from LogoInn. My first impression of them, quick response to e-mail etc was very good. I thought that they are based in the UK? It does not really matter where they work, as these days lots of services are outsourced, however they still should supply what they have promised. I might be back to this website in due course, adding further comment.Thank you for sharing your experiences, it is very useful.

I am currently in the design process with logoinn. They’ve been really good so far and I love my logo. I actually just got my final files for the logo, and am still revising the site layout.

I mean, it’s true, you get what you pay for. And the people who say you don’t get your money back if you don’t like it, that’s also true, but think about it. If you pay a guy to build you a fully furnished house with your name all over it, and he does, you can’t just ask for your money back if you don’t like it! Come on.

My advice for anyone using Logoinn is just to be CLEAR on what you want. I wrote them three pages in MS Word, then copied into the revisions suggestions box. Give them enough detail so there’s no margin of error and they will do what you write! It’s that simple. I will write more once they finish the site, but the logo really came out great.

It’s been exactly a month since my last review of Logoinn. Here’s an update.

If you want a logo, these guys are cool. If you’re clear enough on what you want, they’ll give it to you.

DO NOT BUY WEB DESIGN. My website took forever, they make stupid mistakes over and over again with fixing until the millionth time you ask them. Their CSS style sheets, to be totally honest, don’t even work. I don’t how they do it, but there’s literally no way of editing them, it’s ridiculous. Try to live chat a question, and they just tell you to email their support address, which I have, at least seven times, and have never been emailed back once.

I’m slaving away to try and make the site work, and if I do, it will be a miracle.

    LOGOINN. SUCKS. MAJOR. D***.

Customer service big fat 0. Website over a month late for simple revisions. after it being 2 weeks late I had to contact them, and they hadn’t even started the revisions. each time they sent samples they were only partially complete and claimed “need 3 more business days to complete that” for things that were on the previous revision. Kept losing information I would send, and the excuse I got is “we’re a big company, with a lot of people handling a lot of information” DO YOU THINK THAT IS JUSTIFIED? I DON’T…Spelling errors everywhere (including my name on my card. got in touch with a “manager” to get things sorted out and promised a call back at a certain time the next day… think that happened? Not a chance. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS THEY ARE CROOKS. Spend a little more somewhere else and get a decent product in a decent time. 4 months to get a website, cards and a logo…pitiful.
