When it comes to careers many of us will agree that we didn’t have much of a clue when it came to what we wanted to do back in school. Some people had big dreams, others just weren’t sure on the direction they wanted to take. In many cases it means that you end up with a career that perhaps you didn’t foresee. But, that doesn’t mean that you can’t change it. We would all like a little more job satisfaction wouldn’t we? Coming home from a hard days graft knowing that we did a good day’s work and feeling good about it. So I thought I would suggest some of the career options you could consider if this is what you are hoping to achieve.
Working in the pharmaceutical industry
While it can be difficult to retrain in later life to become a doctor or healthcare professional, you can consider a different line with this approach by working in the pharmaceutical industry. A knowledge of general health ailments, and an interest in science is a good platform to begin with. Perhaps you have had an idea that you think would work as a business, or you love what you do now but want to work for yourself and do it freelance. Maybe you have a head for numbers and love anything to do with maths, then the chances are you could be looking for a career where you can share your passion and do it everyday. A head for numbers means that you have a great deal of options when it comes to careers. You could work in accounting, and be an excerpt for companies when it comes to their figures and business forecasts. You could take on a career in politics or economics, or even work teaching.
