November Blog Income and Other Ramblings

November was another good month for blog earnings. Sorry no pretty pictures this month with charts, but here is a quick breakdown.

Earnings:

  • Private ad sales – $90
  • Google AdSense – $12.46
  • Text Link Ads – $18.00
  • Reviews – $100
  • CashCrate – $8.93

Total: $229.39

More than a third of the income from this month earned by the blog came from reviews that I wrote for another website. This was a great arrangement that came up. I was contacted by the site owner who was looking to have a few reviews written that he had in backlog. I wrote them and got paid, but did not have to deal with any interaction with the companies or with posting the reviews. If you can get yourself into this sort of paid posting arrangement, goo for you!

A Major Thank You To Our Sponsors!

This month, many of our sponsors were back again. That is because they were smart and prepaid for multiple months instead of going month by month. This move will save them money over the next few months as advertising rates have already increased and probably will ago sometime soon. If you’d like to advertise on Dorm Room Biz, check out our advertising page for more detailed information. You can also contact me with any questions.

If you are looking for an affiliate marketing company to gets started with, then I suggest you check out Motive Interactive. You can read the review we wrote on them. They have an awesome system in place to help you be successful.

If you happen to be in the United Kingdom and looking for any kind of virtual office locations, services, or help, then we highly suggest checking out Regus. I’ve had the opportunity to talk to their people a few times and it seems like a great operation that they have. Even if you want to make your presence known in the country and are not really based there, a virtual office is a great way to get a local phone number and answering system set up.

Finally, if you are looking for ways to make money or credit cards for your college expenses, we have recommendations for that too!

If you’d like to be a sponsor of Dorm Room Biz, I’d love to talk to you! Check out our advertising page for rates and details and then get in touch with me via email, Twitter, or leave a comment here!

Calling All WordPress Theme Designers!

I’m looking for quotes for a WordPress theme. If you’re a WP theme designer, please drop me an email and I will give you details on the project. I don’t want to share much more in public to ruin any surprises! Thanks 🙂

Finally, if you do not already, please follow me on Twitter. This is the best way to keep up to date with what I am working on and talking about. It is also a great chance to get links to other articles and stories you may find interesting!

Be sure to keep updated with Dorm Room Biz posts if you are not already subscribed by hooking up with our RSS Feed.

    I see you recommend Regus??
I would be very careful before you use their services!!
I have been talked into taking their “Virtual Office” for 3 months, I was told they would automatically end my service after the initial period. But once I signed and paid the first 2 months – I found myself locked into a 6 months contract. They started very sneakely charging the monthly service fees one month earlier then stated in my agreement. By the time I found out, I was already deducted my 4th month from my credit card and they refused to refund. In fact they forced me to pay 6 months! On top there are many fees they don’t tell you upfront.
The service itself is also very questionable; outdated IT and phone solutions, it takes a long time before your phone line is set-up and working and factually there is very little or no value for money.
Advise: Check the blueprint before you take REGUS and check their fees!

That is good news. I have joined that site too and understand how to complete offers. finally. I have done most of the offers and then I found EasyOfferPays.com to make extra income since i got laid off. The layout is awesome and easy on the eyes. Offers are easy to find and categorized. Take a look. It is not a referral link. but i can refer you too. =)
